Baby Jaden

Once upon a time, not too long ago, I was pregnant! I knew that I was having a baby boy, I had a name picked out (sorry mom, I lied so you wouldn't bug me anymore.) and I was getting ready painting the nursery blue, green and brown. The green I used was called 'Jade something', it's actually the reason I chose it. Here are before and after pics:






Yes, Bryan and I worked very hard on this room. I just had to have my striped wall, and I love it of course!!! Pregnancy can get you almost anything I've discovered.







Our theme (obviously) is Classic Pooh. I just think it's so adorable!

So then I was showered with gifts (thank you so much everyone!) and got a bunch of wonderful things that have really helped out! I don't have any pictures from the Tuttle shower yet, I have to get them from Grandma Cox.

I went to the hospital July 16th at around four in the afternoon, waited while I had painful contractions and slowly dilated and finally got an epidural at midnight and fell asleep.
Then our little prince was born July 17th at 8:38 A.M. He was 7 lbs 4 oz (6 lbs 11 oz when we went home) and 19¼" long. His eyes were and still are, surprisingly, blue like his mommy's.

Being a mommy is the best thing in the whole world. I am having so much fun and loving every moment- even the more stressful times. I never knew this kind of love was even possible, it's incredible.

This was probably the most beautiful place in the whole European vacation. I would love to go back someday and spend more time here.

We didn't do any excursions, so I don't know hardly any of the history, but it's still just so beautiful.





This is on the way up to the way up to the ancient Greek theatre. Such amazing views. The Greek theatre is kept up, but not renovated, and still in working use today. I think it would be So Fun to see a play there!



There are a lot of clouds covering it, but this is their view of Mt. Etna:

Then we walked around the city. It has the best shopping and most original stuff, but of course I didn't feel well this day, so I didn't feel like shopping At All.

This is an entrance to a 5 star hotel. So Pretty!


Then on the way to the boat, we saw this beauty-

~Dubrovnik~

Okay I am finally going to try and finish blogging this trip so I can move on to other things.

Bryan and I have been working day and night on the nursery, so pictures of that will soon be posted! Hooray!

So- next stop in Europe we went to Dubrovnik, Croatia - the city within a wall.







We went up and walked the wall, which has a view that we could not even capture in pictures.

And a good view of someone's backyard- beautiful green trapped inside all of the stone walls:


And we got to play in the guard towers!

Venice

What can I say about Venice--- It was everything I'd always dreamt of. We were there for two days. We didn't do any excursions, we just wandered around both times, but it was so fun.




We got lost in these crazy alley streets and caught up with another american group that was also lost, so we got this picture:


We visited 'Hotel Danieli', from my favorite movie 'Only You'. They made me leave because I wasn't a guest- but I was just so happy to even walk in, it didn't even matter.




And Of Course we did a Gondola ride. Our driver was So Funny and he yelled 'Jappa Jappa Joe!" to every other driver, and they'd yell it back. So we called him Joe.




And the streets at night were even More beautiful with the reflections from the lights and the moon... Ahhh Venice.
